During his tenure at Hamburg Messe und Congress, Stutzinger, together with Fischer, the Executive Board and the entire team, took crucial steps to shape the future development of the trade fair organisation. In particular, these included the successful turnaround to positive business results, the ongoing development of the event portfolio, the development of new event formats, successful early steps towards internationalisation, the strategic realignment and development of the CCH – Congress Center Hamburg, and the initiation and development of important digitalisation measures.
Until the end of the year, Stutzinger will continue to work on all current topics and projects together with Uwe Fischer and the other members of the Executive Board. The focus will be on ensuring continuity, reliability and an orderly transition.
“I very much appreciate the collaboration with the team of Hamburg Messe und Congress, with Uwe Fischer, the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board. Together we have set many things in motion. This has only been possible because our colleagues have embraced a highly dynamic phase of change, taken responsibility and consistently gone the extra mile despite numerous new initiatives and significant transformational pressure,” said Heiko M. Stutzinger. “I am very grateful for that. This is why it is especially important to me to attend to my duties with full commitment and responsibility until the end of the year.”
“Over the past two and a half years, Heiko Stutzinger, jointly with Uwe Fischer, has shaped and developed Hamburg Messe und Congress. For this I would like to thank him expressly,” said State Secretary Dr. Christopher Schwieger, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. “It fills us with pride that the recent positive development of Hamburg Messe und Congress is being recognised far beyond our metropolis – notwithstanding the fact that we would have liked to continue working with him. I whole-heartedly wish him every success in his new position, and all the best for his personal life.”
The Supervisory Board of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH will now take the necessary steps to recruit a suitable successor.
