Applications Now Open – Full Agenda Published

In times of accelerating geopolitical tension and technological disruption, a new international forum is set to make its debut: the Global Security and Innovation Summit (GSIS) will take place on 22–23 October 2025 at the CCH – Congress Center Hamburg. Applications for delegate participation are now open, and the official conference agenda is available online.

Organised by Hamburg Messe und Congress (HMC) in strategic partnership with the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), GSIS brings together global leaders from government, business, technology, and academia. The summit provides a high-level platform to address the world’s most urgent strategic questions – from AI and cyber defence to infrastructure resilience, economic security, and the future of multilateralism.

A Forum to Shape the Global Agenda

“With GSIS, we are creating a forum that does not just reflect geopolitical change but actively shapes the global agenda,” says Dr Bastian Giegerich, Director-General of IISS.
“Hamburg offers the ideal stage for a summit of this scale – both in terms of infrastructure and strategic location,” adds Heiko M. Stutzinger, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress.
“GSIS is a summit of responsibility – for those who shape the world, not just observe it,” says Dimitrios Argirakos, Executive Chair of GSIS.

Participation by Application Only

GSIS is a curated, invitation-only forum with limited capacity. Delegate applications are reviewed by an independent selection committee according to criteria of professional excellence, international perspective, and strategic relevance. The Delegate Pass is priced at €3,000 plus VAT. Further details and the application form can be found at www.gsis-hamburg.com.

Strategic Input: GSIS Executive Briefing

In the lead-up to the summit, the monthly GSIS Executive Briefing provides curated insights on the intersection of geopolitics, innovation, and security. Topics include themes such as the return of geopolitical bloc formation, the vulnerability of global infrastructure, technological sovereignty, economic decoupling, and the need for systemic resilience and international cooperation. Three editions have been published so far. Interested stakeholders can subscribe via gsis-hamburg.com/#nav-enews.
